It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Menchan of Prince Frederick, Maryland, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Randolph and Dorothy Randolph; her brothers, Stonewall (Annie Ruth), Richard (Jean) and Dr. William S. (Doris); her sister-in-law Fannie; her nieces, Janie and Carolyn; and her great-nephew Avery.
She is survived by: her husband Dillard Menchan; her stepson Orin; her stepgrandson Micah; her siblings, Charles C. Randolph, Inez Jones (Eugene), Rev. George H. Randolph (Norma), Ida Randolph (Melvin Tucker), Betty Gray (Larry), John Randolph (Brenda) and Barbara Frederick (Lewis); and her goddaughter Jonita Joseph (Lesley). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Lord called her home on March 1, 2024 after several years of suffering with Alzheimer's disease.
