She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Hooper and Lucille Hooper; and her siblings, Butch Hooper and Sharon Rogers. She is survived by: her husband Billy Higgs of Benedict; her children, Renee Higgs (Jerry Cox) and Brian Higgs (Susan); her grandchildren, Nikki Sknerski, Michael Sknerski (Jenn), Jessica Sknerski, Cynthia Higgs (Bryan Letto), Billy Higgs (Kiara Magruder) and Taylor Higgs; her great grandchildren, Ava O'Dell, Chase Edwards, Braelynn Sknerski, Hayleigh Leager, Allie Skidmore and Landen Sknerski; and her siblings, Patsy Rawlings, Joan Mattingly and Billy Hooper (Cindy).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Port Republic (4405 Broomes Island Rd, Port Republic, MD 20676). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the MD Veterans Cemetery-Cheltenham (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
