She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert James and Claire Hallowell Meredith; her former husband Bill; her sister Carolyn Mercer; her nephews, Eddie Greenwood and Jimmy Mercer; and her pets, Sissy, Lucky II and Suzie.
She is survived by: her son William Gordon, II (Billy); her husband Sam of Preston, MD.; her children, Claire Bennett (Keith) and Billy (Carole); her grandchildren, Jonathan Noble (Sarah), KJ Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Samantha Greenage, Thomas Greenage and Michael Greenage; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Noble, Alexandra Noble and Charlotte Noble; her siblings, Beverly Adams, Barbara Coleman, Debbie Alvey and RJ Meredith; and her pets, Buddy, Bailee, Tippy, Chloe and Molly.
