With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lee Phelps of Preston, Maryland, born in Easton, Maryland, who passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to James' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration James has bequeathed us. “I wasn't blessed to know Jim for many years, but the few I served as a Judge of the Orphan's Court were enough to last me a lifetime. Jim was an easy person to know and a great person to have as a friend, I was so shocked to hear of his death. I am sure Jim had many friends and a wonderful family as anyone could tell by his candor. I know so many will miss him, and I sadly join in with each of them. Sonny Callahan”
