She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Blades and Rowena Majors Blades; her siblings, Ruth Jackson, Erma Donaldson and Clark Blades; and her stepchildren, Beverly Jenise Hurley and Jeffrey Carl Hurley.
She is survived by: her spouse James A. Hurley; her children, Merrill "J. R." Lahman of Preston, Suzann Lahman (Tom) of Preston and Gary Lahman (Theresa) of Seaford; her stepchildren, James Bruce Hurley (Cheryl) of Hurlock, Jay Duane Hurley (Shelley) of Brookview and Jon Earle Hurley of Florida; and her brother Roger Blades (Jeanette) of Parsonsburg. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
