She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Ronald Prussick (Marcy Morein) and Aviva Prussick (Rick Riley); her siblings, Arlene Kaufman (Paul) and Paul Galka; her grandchildren, Lisa, Stephanie Prussick, Jessica and Dillon Nussbaum; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy, Steve Corrigan, Jason Kaufman, Pamela, Joseph Sr., Joseph Jr., Nicholas, Andrew Isola, Max, Mireia, Leo Galka, Jackson, Maxine Galka, Graham, Idamisse, Sophia and Lucca Galka.
Phyllis was a devoted employee of Concordia University and Washington Dermatology Center, working to age 85, right up until the pandemic.
