He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Michael Dalton and Mary Alma Dalton. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his sister Mary Katherine Loane; his sister-in-law Reva Jolovitz (Herbert); his nephew Paul Jolovitz (Amy); his niece Jenna Murphy (Sean); and his great-niece Dora Murphy. He is also survived by friends as an extremely kind, devoted and loving husband, brother, uncle, cousin and loyal friend.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael Dalton are asked to be made to two causes that were meaningful to him: Chesapeake Bay Foundation (cbf.org) and University of Maryland Joseph D. Tydings Endowed Scholarship in Government, Policy, and Leadership (giving.umd.edu).
