It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold N. Swaney of Potomac, Maryland, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Edgar and Bess Black Swaney; his children, Patricia Elaine Schneider (Charlie) and Joel N. Swaney; and his sisters, Dorothy Ryel of Ohio, Dixie Turner of North Carolina and Ruth Andrews of North Carolina.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki O'Hara Swaney of Potomac; his children, Hal E. Swaney of Texas, Susan Marie Bowerman (Mike) of Florida and Devin M. Swaney (LuAnn Lupia); and his sister JoAnn Smith of North Carolina. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and a nephew.
