It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Irwin Hurowitz of Potomac, Maryland, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Hurowitz; and his brother Donald Hurowitz. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Hurowitz Powell (Eric), Abigail Hurowitz Joyce (Rich Breitstein) and Alex Hurowitz (Jennifer); his sister Susan Gorman; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas, Robert, Katie, Lexi and Anna. He is also survived by many close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (cbf.org).
