Anita Lane Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Lane (Potomac, Maryland), who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Amor Lane; her brother Paul Tanker of Philadelphia; her uncle Albert; and her sister Dora Tanker of Margate. She is survived by: her children, Bruce Lane (Leslie) and Michele Loewenthal (Abe); and her grandchildren, Yonah Bardos, Yitzi Bardos, Cheski Loewenthal, Simcha Loewenthal, Dena Szpilzinger, Devorah Baron, Evan Lane and Dana Lane. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren, and man nephews and nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces.
A shiva was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Home of Michele and Abe Loewenthal. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at 10621 S Glen Rd, Potomac, MD 20854. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at the Judean Memorial Gardens (16225 Batchellors Forest Rd, Olney, MD 20832).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Jewish Committee (AJC.org (https://www.ajc.org)) and the Amor and Anita Lane Adult Education Fund at B'nai Tzedek Congregation (BnaiTzedek.org).
