It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Brown of Port Tobacco, Maryland, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McVeigh and Dorothy McVeigh; her husband Terence R. Brown, Sr.; and her brother John McVeigh. She is survived by: her children, Terence R. Brown, Jr. (Jessica), Sean M. Brown (Heather) and Mary Jane Brown Cupples (Gene); her grandchildren, Kaeleigh Cupples, Clinton Cupples, Jaytee Brown and Skylar Brown; and her siblings, Dorothy Altemus and Joseph McVeigh.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646). A prayer was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (201 St Marys Ave, La Plata, MD 20646).
