He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer D. Zimmer and Augusta M. Zimmer (Borgman). He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Zimmer (Cannon); his children, Andrea Proctor (Randy Davis) of La Plata, MD, Melissa Pfau of Falls Church, VA and Jeff Zimmer (Mark Kydd) of Edinburgh, Scotland; his grandson Robert "Corey" Proctor II (Nicole Taube) of Durham, NC; his sister JoAnn Bermudez (late Reyes) of Henderson, NV; and his stepgrandson Ryan Davis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (401 Smallwood Dr, St Charles, MD 20602). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
