Calvin Lamont left this world on May 30, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Lamont Compton, Sr. and Margaret Wade Compton; his wife Catherine Ann Compton; and his son Scott Allen. He is survived by: his children, Keith Compton, Major James Compton and Margaret St. Clair; his brother G. Wade Compton; and his grandchildren, Peyton, Connor St. Clair, Margaret Edith Allen, Josiah Compton and Carson Compton.

Calvin Malcolm Wyne wrote a sympathy message

“My father John M. Wyne , worked for the Compton's as a mechanic for seventeen years, illness forced his retirement, I believe that was !968\'69 . I, Calvin Malcolm Wyne was named after Mr. Compton Sr and Mr. Malcolm Scott, the mechanic at the company. I remember going to work with Dad during the summers and seeing Wade and Calvin Jr. driving up in in the shiniest convertible I had ever seen, that must have been 1967 or '68. My thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of a very good man.”
