He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Channell and Bessie Channell (Barb); his sons, Bradley Owen and Russell Alvin Channell; his siblings, Elsie Porter, Edna Austin, Hattie Hanaford, Gracie Lowther, Armie Swecker and Ervin Channell; and his great grandchild James Camden Whitney.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Channell of Port Republic; his daughter Jackie Vaughan (Hal) of Huntingtown; his grandchildren, Sarah Vaughan (Garrett Hagan), James Whitney (Ashley) and Lacey Brunmeier; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Hagan, Amelia Bell and Cannon Jak Whitney; and his sister-in-law Donna Pingley.
