He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boggs and Mary Boggs; his wife Betty Smith; and his sons, Frank Thayer and Kent Thayer.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Crouse (Mike), Lorrey Padon (Jeff), Angela Troy (Greg), Connie Thayer and Robbie Smith (Amelia). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
