With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fanny Rivera of Poolesville, Maryland, who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fanny Rivera to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucas Rivera and Anna Rivera (Aledo). She is survived by: her daughter Glicer Nalvarte of Poolesville, MD; and her granddaughters, Sofia and Cecilia Nalvarte.

Fanny was instrumental in establishing the Rene Matos Memorial fund which continues to support educational efforts for Hispanics.
