It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evalyn Marie Herrity Phelps (Pomfret, Maryland), who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Herrity and Alice Herrity; her sister Jean Cavaness; her husband James F. Phelps; her son Dennis P. Phelps; and her great grandchild Maisie E. Adams.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley; and her children, Buddy [Paula], Pat [Denise], Mary Claire [Tony], Mickey [Lowry], Chris [Lynn] and Tim [Veronica]. She is also survived by her children, her 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and her 3 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (4590 St Josephs Way, Pomfret, MD 20675-3207).
