She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Merritt and Lula Merritt; her husband Edward James Lankford; her stepchildren, Richard "Ricky" Lankford and Debbie Yeager; and her siblings, Margie Ward Tyndall, Louise Andrews, Evelyn Hastings, Robert Merritt and Willard Merritt, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Bozman (Charles Muir) of Salisbury, MD, Diane Frakes (Raymond Wood) of Pocomoke City, MD and Bruce Catlin of Upper Fairmount, MD; her grandchildren, Dillon Frakes and Ashley Bedsworth (Dillan); her great grandchildren, Liam Werner and Lana Werner; her stepson Robert Allen Lankford (Shelia); and her sister-in-law Lucille Merritt (Shirley). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
