He was predeceased by: his parents, True Sheats and Susanna Sheats; his wife Reta Howe; and his brothers, Clair Sheats and Allen Sheats.
He is survived by: his sons, Earl Sheats (Pansy) and Jay Sheats (LeeAnne). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
