With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Atkins (Pocomoke City, Maryland), born in Kimball, West Virginia, who passed away on July 26, 2024 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Atkins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mathena and Rosa Mathena of Northfork, WV.; and her husband William M. Atkins, Sr. (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Mary Helen (Wesley Insley), Debbie (Allen Clark), Billy (Esther Atkins) and Steven (Laura Atkins); and her siblings, Wesley Mathena, Roy Mathena, Esther Bailey, Lucy Towler and Tina Behers. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and their partners, twenty-four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
