She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. "Jack" Pruitt and Blanche Paradee Pruitt; her husband Eugene I. Lewers, Sr.; her son Eugene I. Lewers, Jr.; and her siblings, Ruth Watson (Roy), Clifton Pruitt (Margaret), Sara Northam (Willard), Jean Foskey (Jennings), Joyce Kennard (Dick) and Rachel Truitt (Bob).
She is survived by: her sons, Todd M. Lewers (Jane) of Rockville, MD and Robin G. Lewers (Margaret) of Pocomoke City, MD; her grandchildren, Kelly Hewett (Larry) and Whitney Frey (Brien); her great grandchildren, Kyli, Harris Hewett, Shaelyn, Cassidy Frey, Olivia, Jade Cortis, Reese Phillips, Ashley Ross, Lauren McGee (Alex), Katie and Joey Dykes; her great great grandchild Bentley Ross; her niece Sheila Lee; and her nephews, Kevin Foskey, Jonathan and David Wheatley.
