He was predeceased by: his parents, Quentin W. Butler and Bessie E. White Butler; his wife Delsie Butler; and his siblings, Jacquelyn S. Whitaker, Sylvia M. Butler Faison and Timothy W. Butler.
He is survived by: his siblings, Beverly A. Thomas, Charlene R. Lipscomb (Wayne R.) and Aaron K. Butler (Diane); and his aunt Lois Matthews. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
