He was predeceased by: his parents, John B Houck and Olive U Hickman Houck; and his siblings, Shirley Lafond, John "Jack" Houck, James A Houck and David R Houck.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Houck; his children, Debra Hamblin (William), Susan Reynolds (Mike) and George Houck Jr. (Peggy); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Houck, Stefanie Ellingsworth, Kyle Cox (Kalec) and Nicholas Morgen; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Meisanholder, Colby Ellingsworth, Anslee Ellingsworth and Paisley Cox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
