She was predeceased by: her parents, William James Hairston and Georgia Mae Conner; her siblings, Marjorie Walton, Evelyn Hairston-Crocket, William Connor and James Hairston; and her daughter Shrice Elaine Hairston.
She is survived by: her husband Albert Thomas Morgan; her children, Edward Hairston (Audrey) and NJ; her grandchildren, Pierre, Edward, Jamia, Brittney, Devon, Erik, Satia, Shrice, Thomas, Amon, Zion and Lauren; her niece Denise Durdan; her close friend Phyllis Chappelle; and her daughters, Jackie Moss-Forrest and Mary Stout.
