He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Ina and Bernard Maurice Zeffert. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Patricia B. Zeffert; his sons, Laurance Charles Zeffert (Katiana Simms), Harrison Jonah Zeffert (Katrina Seely) and Daniel Jacob Zeffert (Maxine Luke); his siblings, Robert Harry Zeffert (Ann), Dr. Judith Levy (Robert) and Steven Daniel Zeffert (Beth); and his grandchildren, Kalia Zeffert and Malakai Zeffert.
