He is survived by: his wife Sonna Kalis; his children, Jennifer Morris (Shane), David Kalis (Karen) and Mindy Athas (Nick); his sister Ilene Cohen (Marc); and his grandchildren, Lance Morris, Reid Morris, Samantha Kalis, James Athas, Madeline Athas and Jack Athas.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (7401 Park Heights Ave, Pikesville, MD 21208).
