She is survived by: her children, Nicole LaRue of Oxon Hill and Juan Beverly (Kelly) of Baltimore; her siblings, Arthur Allan Holland and Malinda Leona Holland; her brothers-in-law, Rev. Irvin Beverly (Eilene) and Malcolm Beverly; her grandchildren, Darius (Ashley), Kristen, Keely (James) and Dionne; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Micah, Sydney, Nyla and Nori; her brothers, Maurice Franklin Holland and John Calvert Holland; and her half-sister Doris Meads. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Helen was a member of the NAACP, financial contributor to the ACLU and served as a volunteer with the United Negro College Fund.
