He was predeceased by: his brother Morton Katz; his parents, Lena Katz and Hyman Katz; and his nephews, Howard Katz and Joel Katz.

He is survived by: his wife Sandee Katz; his siblings-in-law, Matt and Barbara Glenn; and his nieces and nephews, Robert Katz, Lacee Daniel (Fletcher), Shana Brinkmann (John) and John John Brinkmann.
