He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Guggenheim and Ernst Guggenheim. He is survived by: his wife Mindelle Guggenheim; his children, Barbara Baber (Frederick) and Eric Guggenheim (Jessica); his siblings, Leon Guggenheim (Sonia), Nancy Foreman (late Jeffrey), Jordan Baber, Lauren Guggenheim, Kate Baber and Jessica Tracey (Sean); and his great grandchild Noah Tracey.
