He is survived by: his spouse Madelyn "Maggie" Nichols; his children, Andrew Nichols (Erin) and Alexander Nichols (Ann); his siblings, Robert G. Nichols, Peter W. Nichols, James T. Nichols and Elizabeth M. Andresini; his grandchildren, Connor, Adelyn, Clara, Nolan and Owen Nichols; and his nieces and nephews, Bryan Nichols, Lindsay Nichols, Luke Nichols, Libby Nichols, Scott Andresini, Timothy Andresini, Michael Oldham and Madeline Oldham.
