He was predeceased by: his parents, Arend Ripken and Clara Ripken; his wife Shirley A. Ripken (Collette); and his brothers, Oliver Ripken and Calvin Ripken Sr..
He is survived by: his daughter Gail A. Cooper (Danny) of Havre de Grace; his grandchildren, Michael Callanan (Tracey) and Collette Keane (Chris); his great grandchildren, Isabella, Austin, Caitlyn, Emma, Elliana and Everly; and his brother-in-law David Collette (Kathy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
