She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Buddy" Carroll and Sara Rebecca Simpers Thomas; her husband Richard Ellsworth Barr; her children, Danny L. Barr and Kimberly Ann Barr; and her brothers, John Leroy Thomas, Wilton "Butch" Thomas and Claude Thomas.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Joseph Barr (Daniele Albanese), Tara Barr (Robert Adams), Tory Barr (Terry Frazier), Brandon Shackelford, Rachel Shackelford and Matthew Shackelford (Amanda Fratrik); and her brother Charles Thomas. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home (1493 Clayton St, Perryville, MD 21903). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
