He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Gerst and Imogene Gerst; his son-in-law Eric Spurrier; and his brothers, Charles Watkins and John Watkins.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Margaret Scott Barrow; his children, Bridget Ann Koszyk (Francis), Mark Anthony Gerst (Theresa), Kimberly Denise Spurrier and Timothy Franklin Gerst (Stacy); his grandchildren, Christopher Sutherland, Darren Davis, Jr., Heather Davis, Kayla Wymer, Kyle Gerst, Kolton Nullmeyer, London Gerst and Kennedy Gerst; his great grandchildren, Jordan Teasley, Kyrsten Bennett, Jeremiah Davis, Ella Sutherland, Charlie Davis and Anthony Davis; and his son P. A..
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Perryville Methodist Church (301 Susquehanna Ave, Perryville, MD 21903).
