He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer "Wink" James and Edith Marguerite Clark Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Singleton Buchanan of Perryville, MD; his son Shawn W. Buchanan (Melody) of Perryville, MD; and his sisters, Sandra Buchanan of Pennsylvania and Velma Buchanan of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Amedisys Foundation in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
