He was predeceased by: his wives, Agnes L. Naylor and A. Jane Norfolk; and his siblings, Carolyn Garman, Ida Myers, Claude Naylor and Harry Naylor.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel A. Naylor (Patricia), Robin Burgess (George), Debbie L. Edmonds (Preston), Samuel A. Naylor, III, Stanley R. Naylor, Renee A. Zisk (Sean), William J. Naylor (Mary Ellen), Tim G. Naylor (Stacey) and Steve Lowe (Elizabeth). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren.
