It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard C. Purkey Sr. of Pasadena, Maryland, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Clinton Purkey and Mildred Marie Purkey; his siblings, Virginia Lee Nash, Larry Raymond Purkey and Emory Clinton Purkey, Jr.; and his grandson Joey DeLawder.
He is survived by: his children, Denise DeLawder (Josie), Judy Baker (Gary), Richard Purkey, Jr. (Amy) and Katelynn Purkey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
