John George Klug Jr. Obituary
John George Klug, Jr., 71, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Mr. Klug was born February 13, 1952, in Baltimore, MD to the late J. George, Sr. and Susan Klug. He was the owner of Klug's Exxon Gas Station until he sold his business and went on to work as a Kitchen Cabinet Inspector until his retirement. In his free time, John enjoyed bowling, reading, listening to music, especially when all his grandkids played their instruments. He was also an avid movie buff. When he was younger, he was a member of several bowling leagues. John also enjoyed fishing, swimming, family vacations at the beach and sports, especially the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. He was described as being witty and had a dry sense of humor. He was an intelligent man who enjoyed good humor and had a gentle soul. He was kind, well respected and very easy going. Above all, family always remained his number one priority and he loved them with everything he had. He will be dearly missed.
Mr. Klug is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cynthia Hicks Klug; children, John George Klug, III (Jessica), Brian William Klug (Robin and her children, Alyssa Bees and the late Ronnie Bees), Matthew Alan Klug (Laura); siblings, Christine Baker (and the late Jack Baker), Michael Klug (Joyce), Timothy Klug (Terry), Steven Klug (Maria), Joseph Klug (Yvonne); grandchildren, John George Klug, IV, Alana Sarah Klug, Paden Justus Klug; nieces and nephews, Lauren (Lou), Melanie (Shawn), Erika (Tim), Nick (Jessica), Meghan (Eric), Madison (Kevin), Joseph (Courtney), Ally, Audra (Tim), Aldan (Autumn), Nicole (Erich), Michael (Kelly), Jessica (John), and Allyssa (Russ) and several great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Stallings Funeral Home 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, Maryland from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00am to 11:00am with funeral services at 11:00am. Internment is private.
