He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino Hautala and Fanny Hautala Vargas; and his brother Frank Hautala. He is survived by: his wife Randi Hautala; his son Chris Hautala; his daughter-in-law Christine Hautala; his grandsons, Teddy Hautala and Finn Hautala; his sister Priscilla Sansonetti Hautala; and his brother-in-law Luigi Sansonetti. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews and nine grand nieces and nephews.
