She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald West and Ora West; and her brothers, Charles West, Harold West and Carl West.
She is survived by: her husband Gil Smith; her sons, Timothy Stevenson (Karen), Richard Stevenson and John Stevenson (Jennifer); her stepson Lawrence Cate; and her sister Inez Calder. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
