He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashton W. Overton and Lucille Renee Overton Smith of Petersburg, Virginia.; and his wife Barbara Todd Overton. He is survived by: his son Keith Overton (Attilah) of Seat Pleasant, MD; his half-brother Bradford Smith of Petersburg, VA; his grandchildren, Attiyyah, Khairy, Najaah (Sa'eed), Abdur-Rahmaan, Khadijah, Abdur-Raheem, Sakinah and Amir of Seat Pleasant; his siblings-in-law, Mary Goode (late Thomas), Ruth Bonner-Simpson (late John), Brenda Todd of Petersburg, VA, James Todd, Lewis Todd of Petersburg, VA and Michael Todd of Richmond, VA; his goddaughter Cynthia R. Hannah; his daughter-in-law Attilah; his nephew Thomas A. Goode; his cousins, Joan Overton and Jeffery Overton; and his friends, Russell "Butch" Lyons, Daniel "Mickey" Gill, Francine "Cena" Tyler, James "Sonny" Mayfield, Richard S. Allen and Arnida Griffin Allen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
