She was predeceased by: her siblings, Dorothy Helen Woodrow, Clinton Nickson and Gary Nickson. She is survived by: her husband Edward A. Brown, Sr.; her children, Gail S. Grover (Desi) of Baton Rouge, Edward A. Brown, Jr. (Patrice) of Woodbridge, Virginia and Eric T. Brown of Oxon Hill, Maryland; her grandchildren, Brandon Adkins, Shiree Adkins, Stephen Adkins, Jalen Brown, Cheyenne Brown and Nicholas Estrada; her great grandchild Myles Adkins; and her siblings, James Alphonsa Nickson (Dorothy) of Miami, Emmitt Nickson, Jr. (Tannis) of Port St, Voncile Nickson, Annie D. Nickson, Clementina Nickson of Port St, Mertice Dawson of Pensacola, Florida, Linda Hill (Gene) and Donald Nickson (Jacqueline) of Port St. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

In her last years, Alzheimer's Disease robbed her of many things but not her relationship and dependence on God.
