She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Barrett and Laura Elizabeth Biggs Barrett; her husband Richard "Dick" Burton; her children, Barbara Murphy and Richard "Ricky" Burton; and her sisters, Mildred Burton and Faye Greer.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Pamela (Randal Smith Sr.), Richard "Alan" Burton, Steven Murphy (Karen) and Melinda (Justin Hagler); and her great grandchildren, Randal Smith Jr. (Ellen), Richard Smith, Elizabeth Burton, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Hannah Hagler, Andrew and Cameron Murphy.
