She was predeceased by: her parents, Hallie Spafford Young and James R. Carter; her brothers, Edward R. Carter and Terry Compton; and her nephew Kris R. Carter.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Sharon Nicholson (Stephen); her niece Kellie Hudgins (Charles); and her nephews, Micheal Carter and Brain Carter (Donna).
