He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Keegan; and his daughter Kathy Wells. He is survived by: his children, Bryan Keegan of Owings, MD, Mark Wells (Carol) of Edgewater, MD, Lynn Ebel of Edgewater, MD and Laurie Guild of Edgewater, MD; and his granddaughter Brianna Keegan. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one sibling.
