Jean Embree Hicks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Embree Hicks of Owings, Maryland, born in Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on October 2, 2021 at the age of 104. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Burdick Embree and Ellen Maria Chapman Embree; her husband James Earl Hicks; and her brothers, Royal, William, Edward and Francis.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hicks, Jacqueline Lopata (Alex), Millicent Cozzie (James), Lesley Kuczera (George) and Jennifer Dowell (James). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Calvert Library Bookmobile.
