Betty Ann Swann Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ann Swann (Owings, Maryland), who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Mae Swann (Dodd) and John Bernard Cady; her sisters, Dolores Johnson, Margaret Fisher and Carla Hardesty; and her brother-in-law Richard "Sonny" Swann.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Greenwell (Chuck), John Swann (Carla), Jim Swann (late Cindy), Joe Swann (Debi), Jack Swann (Kelly) and Barbara Mendez (Mario); and her brother Edward Dorn. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home-Calvert (8200 Jennifer Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (8816 Chesapeake Ave, North Beach, MD 20714). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (4111 Pennsylvania Ave., Hillcrest Heights, MD 20746).
