He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Marquess (Cochran) and Lawrence Marquess; his wife Patsy; and his siblings, Minnie Stinnett, Louise King, Hilda Buckmaster, Dorothy Lissau, Gertrude Mullenax, Lawrence Marquess and Malcolm Marquess.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra Marquess of Lexington Park, Dawn Harrison (Bryan) of Salisbury, MD and Timothy Marquess (Karen) of Owings; his grandchildren, Tucker Harrison, Tolan Harrison and Timothy Marquess, Jr.; his great grandchild Nora Harrison; and his brother Donnie Marquess.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
