He was predeceased by: his parents, John Major and Jane Major; and his sister Sharon Golemo. He is survived by: his brothers, John Major and Tim Major; his children, Deborah Weiner, Carolyn Stromer, Michael Major and James Major; his grandchildren, Lucas Carland, Samantha Weiner, Sarah Weiner, Sophie Weiner, Hannah Major and Ronan Major; and his pet Kiki.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Collins Funeral Home (500 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Norbeck Memorial Park (16225 Batchellors Forest Rd, Olney, MD 20832).
