He was predeceased by: his sister Ruth Rahn Spearman; and his sister-in-law Betty Thomas (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Florence; his daughter Karen Horne (Drew); his grandchildren, Melissa Horne and Andrew Horne (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Drew and Blake Horne. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to New Hope Presbyterian Church.
