He was predeceased by: his child Sasha Stavins; his brother Dan Stavins; and his parents, Evelyn Stavins and Arthur Stavins. He is survived by: his spouse Chong H. Chu-Stavins; his brother Joel Stavins; his parent-in-law Mu Kang; his siblings-in-law, Katie, Young Lee, Chongsuk, Myunghee and Maeron; and his friend Miles Beermann.
